Kia India is gearing up to broaden its portfolio of premium models with the much-anticipated launch of the Kia EV9, an electric SUV that is set to make waves in the Indian market. The EV9, initially introduced as a concept in 2022, will join Kia’s flagship offerings, standing alongside the popular EV6. This model will be sold as a direct import, highlighting its premium status and putting it in direct competition with luxury rivals such as the BMW iX and Audi Q8 e-tron.
With the official unveiling scheduled for October 3, Kia has already revealed significant details about the India-specific version of the EV9. The SUV’s design will remain faithful to the international version, featuring a bold, boxy aesthetic that blends modern styling cues with futuristic elements. The standout design features include distinctive matrix LED headlamps, flush door handles, and newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels.
The EV9 will also be offered in five striking color options: Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black Pearl, Panthera Metal, Pebble Gray, and Ocean Blue, allowing buyers to choose a color that complements the SUV’s bold persona. This launch is part of Kia’s ongoing commitment to introducing premium electric vehicles in India, reflecting the brand’s innovative approach to sustainable luxury.
