Apple has introduced the anticipated Apple Intelligence AI features for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, now available with the iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 updates. First revealed at WWDC, Apple Intelligence is designed to bring AI seamlessly into Apple’s ecosystem, enhancing usability while maintaining privacy. These features are exclusively available for iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and all models in the iPhone 16 series, offering users advanced AI-powered tools.
Apple Intelligence includes a suite of powerful enhancements across the system. Writing Tools, for instance, let users refine their text with options for rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing in Mail, Messages, Notes, and third-party apps. This tool allows users to adjust tone—such as professional or friendly—and receive summaries in different formats, including paragraphs, lists, or tables.
The familiar Siri has also been revamped. With a new design, Siri now features an elegant, glowing interface around the screen edge when active on iPhone, iPad, or CarPlay, and can be positioned anywhere on a Mac desktop. Siri now supports both typed and spoken interactions, allowing users to seamlessly switch between the two, and maintains context across requests. Siri can answer an expanded range of product-related questions, providing tips on using Apple devices or troubleshooting features.
Apple’s Photos app is now more intuitive, with natural language search capabilities, enabling users to find photos simply by describing them. The Clean Up tool allows users to remove distracting elements from photos. Additionally, the Memories feature has been upgraded, letting users create customized movie memories by typing descriptions of scenes they want to include.
Lastly, Apple Intelligence optimizes message and notification management. Priority Messages and notification summaries allow users to stay updated with essential details directly on the Lock Screen, especially helpful during busy group chats. In the Notes and Phone apps, users can now record, transcribe, and summarize audio, making it easy to capture and review key points from conversations.
