Citroen has unveiled a limited-edition version of its Aircross compact SUV—the Xplorer edition. Targeting adventure enthusiasts, this special edition introduces a suite of stylish exterior and interior upgrades. The Xplorer edition offers two distinct packs: Standard and Optional, both bringing aesthetic enhancements at an additional cost. The Standard pack includes illuminated skid plates, footwell lighting, a dashcam, and eye-catching khaki inserts with body decals and hood garnish. For those seeking more, the Optional pack includes all Standard features plus a rear-seat entertainment screen.
The Xplorer edition is available for the Aircross SUV’s Plus and Max trims, making it accessible to various customer preferences. The Standard pack is priced at Rs 24,000, while the Optional pack is available at Rs 51,700. The Citroen Aircross itself is priced between Rs 8.49 lakh and Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant.
Performance-wise, the Aircross SUV offers two petrol engine choices. There’s an 80 hp 1.2-liter naturally aspirated engine, paired exclusively with a five-speed manual transmission. Alternatively, the more powerful 110 hp turbocharged 1.2-liter engine can be paired with either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, offering flexibility for diverse driving preferences.
Shishir Mishra, Citroen India’s Brand Director, described the Xplorer edition as a model designed to embody adventure while delivering Citroen’s renowned comfort. According to Mishra, this edition aligns with the brand’s commitment to creating unique driving experiences, perfect for customers who want to make a bold statement on the road.
