The much-anticipated Lulu Mini Mall in Kottayam is set to open its doors to the public at 4 pm today, following an inauguration ceremony held earlier in the day. The event, presided over by Kerala’s Minister for Ports and Cooperation and Minister for Devaswoms VN Vasavan, was chaired by Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusuff Ali.
Described as a festive gift for Kottayam residents, the mall aims to deliver a state-of-the-art shopping experience tailored to the town’s needs. MA Yusuff Ali emphasized the importance of expanding premium shopping facilities beyond metropolitan cities, stating, “Kottayam, known for its rich cultural and educational heritage, deserves an international standard of retail and leisure. Lulu’s presence here reflects our commitment to catering to smaller towns and connecting more communities with world-class services.”
Situated on MC Road in Manipuzha, the two-storey Lulu Mini Mall is designed to provide a comprehensive shopping and leisure experience. The ground floor features a sprawling 2.5 lakh square foot hypermarket, open daily from 9 am to 11 pm. The upper floor includes Lulu Fashion, offering a wide range of branded apparel; Blush and Eye Express, featuring fragrances and eyewear; a 450-seat food court; and Funtura, an entertainment zone for children.
Additionally, the mall offers a multi-level parking facility for 1,000 vehicles, with free parking during the opening period. With its modern amenities and community-focused approach, the Lulu Mini Mall is set to redefine shopping and leisure in Kottayam.
