The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) has issued an advisory to prevent heat-related health risks, especially as the ongoing State School Kalolsavam in Thiruvananthapuram attracts large crowds.
Extreme heat can lead to dehydration, heatstroke, and sunburn. The SDMA advises outdoor workers, such as construction laborers, agricultural workers, and street vendors, to adjust their schedules and avoid working during peak heat hours.
