The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has expanded its Registered Testing Pool (RTP) for 2025 to include several prominent Indian cricketers, according to media reports. The new list features players from both the men’s and women’s teams, reflecting NADA’s commitment to ensuring transparency and adherence to anti-doping regulations.
In the men’s category, stars like Sanju Samson, T20 skipper Suryakumar Yadav, ODI vice-captain Shubman Gill, Test vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah, and wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant are among the 11 names reportedly listed. Other players include Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Arshdeep Singh, and Tilak Varma.
The women’s team has also seen inclusions, with opener Shafali Verma, all-rounder Deepti Sharma, and pacer Renuka Singh Thakur making the cut. These athletes will undergo routine dope tests, with sample collection expected during upcoming white-ball series. NADA officials will visit match venues to carry out the testing, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) kept in the loop for updates.
Additionally, players are mandated to submit details such as residential addresses, email IDs, and contact numbers to ensure compliance. Notably, this isn’t the first time cricketers have been under NADA’s radar. In 2020, names like Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Smriti Mandhana were also part of the RTP list. This proactive approach underscores NADA’s focus on maintaining the integrity of Indian cricket.
