
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), India’s leading public sector engineering and manufacturing firm, has reported a landmark performance for the financial year 2024–25 by securing record-breaking order inflows worth ₹92,534 crore. This achievement marks the highest annual order intake in the company’s history, underscoring its strong market presence and operational capabilities.
Following this significant inflow, BHEL’s total order book now stands at an impressive ₹1.95 lakh crore as of the end of FY25, positioning the company for robust growth in the coming years. A substantial portion of these new orders—₹81,349 crore—originated from the power sector, reinforcing BHEL’s dominance in the energy infrastructure space.
In addition to its power portfolio, BHEL recorded ₹11,185 crore in fresh orders from its industrial segment, reflecting diversification into key areas such as defence, transportation, process industries, and industrial machinery. On the execution side, the company successfully commissioned or synchronised 8.1 gigawatts (GW) of power generation capacity, highlighting its commitment to timely project delivery and operational efficiency.
The company also reported a provisional and unaudited revenue of ₹27,350 crore for FY25, representing a notable 19% year-on-year growth. BHEL stated that it is entering FY26 with strong momentum, backed by a robust project pipeline, record orders, and a commitment to indigenisation and stakeholder value creation.
