Srinagar: The India-Pakistan conflict has intensified, leading to the continuation of strict restrictions across Jammu and Kashmir. As tensions remain high, all educational institutions in the region are closed, and operations at Srinagar airport have been suspended for the day. Control rooms have been set up to monitor the evolving situation, and heightened vigilance has been established, especially in border states.
The Indian Armed Forces — Army, Navy, and Air Force — remain on full alert and are prepared to respond to any escalation. Security has been significantly tightened at vital military and civil locations nationwide. There are strong indications of a possible second phase of Operation Sindoor, with the Indian government ready to strike again if Pakistan continues to provoke. Several suspected terrorist camps are currently under close surveillance by Indian intelligence agencies, and further action is expected if provocation persists.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in a firm statement, declared that India would not hesitate to engage in warfare if required. The central government has given the military complete authority to act decisively. An all-party meeting has been convened to review the situation, and the Defence Minister is scheduled to brief Parliament at 11 a.m. today regarding the developments of Operation Sindoor and future military plans.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s forces have continued shelling along the Line of Control, particularly targeting Kupwara district. Though no casualties have been reported, civilians have been evacuated from sensitive areas, including Karna, where Pakistani firing reached residential zones.
