The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain at isolated places across several districts in Kerala including Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur, and Kasaragod over the next three hours. This forecast comes amidst a low-pressure belt extending from the north Kerala coast to the south Gujarat coast, with a cyclonic circulation located over the central west Bay of Bengal and northwest Bay of Bengal near the north Andhra Pradesh coast.
The IMD further warns of moderate to heavy rain with widespread thunder and lightning expected in Kerala for the next five days due to these weather conditions.
