Air ticket prices for destinations like Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, and Kozhikode have climbed considerably, with rates ranging from Rs 10,000 to as high as Rs 17,000 during peak travel dates.
For instance, a flight to Thiruvananthapuram at 4:50 AM on December 21 costs Rs 9,281, while the prices to Kochi and Kozhikode reach Rs 14,846 and Rs 17,156 respectively. On December 22, tickets to these cities are priced between Rs 13,586 and Rs 15,686. Similar fare hikes are seen for flights to Kochi, with tickets starting at Rs 11,000 on December 21 and going up to Rs 15,000. The prices continue to rise on subsequent days, with ticket rates ranging from Rs 10,519 to Rs 12,882 on December 22 and Rs 11,307 to Rs 14,142 on December 23.
The lowest fares are to Kannur, with the prices ranging from Rs 5,060 to Rs 8,840 over the course of the holiday season. However, due to the increasing number of passengers, these airfares are expected to climb the even higher in the coming days. Travelers are advised to book early to secure more affordable options.
