Hyundai’s highly anticipated electric vehicle, the Ioniq 9, made its official debut in India at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, marking the first time the flagship EV has been introduced to Indian consumers. Unveiled globally in November of the previous year, the Ioniq 9 is a three-row SUV that aims to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market. Expected to be launched in India soon, this electric powerhouse combines cutting-edge design with advanced features.
The Ioniq 9 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,060mm in length, 1,980mm in width, and 1,790mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130mm, positioning it as a spacious, high-performance SUV. The exterior design is highlighted by Hyundai’s signature parametric pixel lamps at the front, body-colored wheel arches, vertically stacked LED taillights, and striking 3D Hyundai logos.
Inside, the Ioniq 9 offers a futuristic cabin with a three-spoke steering wheel, dual digital displays, a floating center console, ambient lighting, multi-zone climate control, ventilated seats, USB Type-C charging ports, and a 360-degree camera, ensuring a premium driving experience.
The Ioniq 9 is powered by a robust 110.3kWh battery pack, with both single and dual motor configurations. The rear-wheel-drive version produces 214bhp and 350Nm of torque, while the all-wheel-drive version with dual motors delivers 308bhp and 650Nm. Additionally, the Ioniq 9 supports rapid charging, able to charge from 10-80% in just 24 minutes via a 350kW fast charger, making it an exciting addition to India’s EV landscape.
