Sharon’s poisoned death: Probe team to record Greeshma’s arrest at hospital

The Crime Branch team will record accused Greeshma’s arrest at the hospital in the mysterious death of a student named Sharon Raj. The accused is currently undergoing treatment at the medical college hospital after a suicide attempt at the station on Monday morning.

Hence, the probe team is planning to take the magistrate to the medical college for recording the arrest. Meanwhile, sources close to Crime Branch reveal that more people will be named as accused in the case. Greeshma’s parents, uncle and a female relative are being interrogated at various police stations.

Involvement of these four people in the crime is also suspected, says the probe team. According to the probe team, discrepancies were found in the statements of the four people. In her statement to the police, Greeshma revealed that she poisoned Sharon to do away with him after her engagement. She also told police that personal vendetta urged her to plot the murder.

Greeshma was rushed to a hospital when she felt dizzy after coming out of a washroom at Nedumangad Police station. She was taken into police custody on Sunday after she confessed to having poisoned her lover by mixing toxic chemicals in an ayurvedic medication on October 14. The man passed away at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital on October 25.
