
The India Couture Week 2024 reached its grand conclusion with a dazzling display of elegance and tradition, featuring Bollywood stars in exquisite regal costumes. The closing ceremony was marked by the stellar presence of actors Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, who graced the runway as showstoppers for Falguni Shane Peacock’s ‘Rang Mahal’ collection. The collection celebrated India’s royal heritage through luxurious silks, rich velvets, and intricate embroideries, showcasing symbols of India’s cultural splendor like peacocks and palaces.
Earlier, actress Aditi Rao Hydari captivated the audience as the showstopper for designer Jayanti Reddy. Dressed in a golden sharara set, Aditi embodied elegance with her richly embellished outfit featuring pearl detailing and a glamorous makeup look. Her ensemble, part of Jayanti Reddy’s ‘Evocative Nawabi Canvas’, drew inspiration from Hyderabad’s regal past, highlighting traditional zardozi, beadwork, and intricate threadwork.
Jayanti Reddy’s collection paid homage to the Nawabs and Nizams, blending historical charm with contemporary style. The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) praised Aditi’s runway appearance and the collection’s homage to Hyderabad’s cultural legacy.
Aditi Rao Hydari, known for her roles in films such as ‘Padmaavat’ and ‘Sringaram’, continues to impress with her diverse filmography. She is currently featured in the period drama series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ on Netflix and has upcoming projects including the silent film ‘Gandhi Talks’ and the historical drama ‘Lioness’.
