Schools are responsible for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC), and the final date to do so without incurring late fees is October 4, 2024. Parents need to review and confirm the information entered by schools and ensure that exam fees are paid on time. Here are five crucial points parents should check during the registration process to prevent errors.
Child’s Name: Ensure that the name matches the Aadhaar card and is correctly spelled. This will carry over to Class 12 and other official documents.
Parents’ or Guardians’ Names: Cross-check that the names of the parents or guardians are accurately listed and match official identification, such as the Aadhaar card or passport.
Child’s Date of Birth: For Class 10 students, it’s essential that the date and year of birth are correct, as this will reflect on all future educational records.
Subject Selection: Especially for Class 12 students, review the subjects and subject codes carefully, as changes after the LOC submission won’t be accepted. Errors here could impact results and future subject choices.
Category and Gender: Ensure that the student’s gender and category (SC, ST, OBC, etc.) are entered correctly to avoid delays in corrections later.
Parents are required to sign off on the form after verification. If any errors are found, they must be corrected by the school before the October 4 deadline. For private candidates (compartment or improvement students), the form submission will begin soon, and these candidates must independently fill out their forms and pay the required fees.
