A government panel investigating vaccine side effects has confirmed the death of a person who received vaccination against the Covid-19 infection. After receiving a coronavirus vaccine, a 68-year-old man died from anaphylaxis, a severe, potentially fatal allergic reaction.
during an interview with India Today TV, AEFI Chairperson Dr. NK Arora confirmed a death following the Covid-19 vaccination but refused to comment further.
According to the death assessment report, the 68-year-old received his vaccine shot on March 8, 2021, and died as a result of anaphylaxis. “It is the first death that we have seen where the cause of death after an investigation was found to be anaphylaxis after vaccination,” AEFI chairperson Dr. NK Arora said.
While three more vaccine-related deaths were discovered, the government panel has only confirmed the death of one person following the Covid vaccination.
