The Central Meteorological Department has issued a forecast for widespread rain across Kerala, with an Orange alert in three districts – Idukki, Malappuram, and Wayanad. As per the report, several regions in the state, including Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, and Wayanad, are likely to experience moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds reaching up to 40 km/h. Lighter rain is expected in isolated areas of other districts.

Residents in landslide-prone and flood-prone areas are urged to relocate to safer locations following the instructions from local authorities.
People living near rivers and dam downstream areas should stay vigilant and be prepared to evacuate if necessary.

Residents of houses with weak structures or roofs must take extra precautions and evacuate if needed. In case of danger, contact the authorities for help.
Avoid non-essential travel and recreational activities near water bodies, hilly areas, and waterfalls until the rain warning is lifted.
