The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Sunday that it will hold a re-test for candidates affected by issues in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). The re-examination, which will be in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode, is scheduled for July 19.
“The grievances received from candidates up to June 30, 2024, concerning the CUET (UG) – 2024 examination, along with complaints sent to [email protected] between July 7 and July 9, 2024 (before 5:00 pm), have been reviewed. Based on these grievances, a re-examination will be conducted for those affected candidates on July 19, 2024, in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode,” stated the Senior Director of NTA in a public notice issued on Sunday.
NTA has communicated with all affected candidates via email, detailing their subject code(s).
The NTA previously conducted the CUET (UG)-2024 Examination in a hybrid mode (CBT and Pen & Paper) on May 15, 16, 17, 18, 21, 22, 24, and May 29, 2024. The exam took place in various centers across 379 cities, including 26 cities outside India, and involved approximately 13.48 lakh candidates.
Challenges regarding the exam were invited from July 7 to 9, 2024, as indicated in a public notice dated July 7, 2024. The challenges submitted online were reviewed by relevant subject experts. Based on their feedback, the Final Answer Keys are being prepared and will soon be available on the official CUET (UG)-2024 website.
Admit cards for the re-test will be issued shortly. Affected candidates can download their admit cards for CUET (UG)-2024 using their Application No. and Date of Birth from the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/. They are advised to follow the instructions in the admit card and the Information Bulletin.
The NTA notice advised candidates to carefully read the subject-specific instructions and other guidelines mentioned in the question paper and to follow them accordingly.
