President Droupadi Murmu conferred Gallantry and Service medals to personnel from the Armed Forces, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), Police, Fire Services, Home Guards, and Civil Defence. Among the distinguished honorees was Indian Army Colonel Manpreet Singh, who was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra for his courageous role in a counter-terrorism operation in Anantnag. A total of 103 medals were granted to Armed Forces and CAPF personnel, including four Kirti Chakras, 18 Shaurya Chakras, and numerous other medals for gallantry and service.
Additionally, 1,037 personnel from police and other services received Gallantry and Service Medals. This includes 213 Gallantry Medals awarded to police personnel and others in Fire Services and Home Guards. President’s Medals for Distinguished Service and Medals for Meritorious Service were also awarded to a broad array of personnel for their exceptional contributions. These awards honor the bravery, distinguished service, and commitment of the recipients in safeguarding and serving the nation.
