The recent promotional campaign by Oman’s Ministry of Tourism, targeting Indian cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, has garnered enthusiastic interest. The campaign attracted participation from over 100 Indian companies, providing a significant networking platform for stakeholders in the tourism industry, including hotels, tour operators, airlines, and government officials.
The event also featured more than 200 travel and tourism organizations from Oman, with key figures such as Hassan Qasim Muhammad Al Busaidi, Under Secretary of Oman’s Heritage and Tourism Ministry, meeting with India’s Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi. The collaboration highlighted Oman’s readiness to host various events, including weddings, conferences, and exhibitions, tailored to Indian tourists’ needs.
One of the campaign’s major highlights is the introduction of a 10-day tourist visa for Indian nationals at an incredibly affordable rate of just 5 Riyals. This visa offers a cost-effective way to explore Oman, complemented by direct flights from Indian cities that take less than three hours. The country’s budget-friendly accommodations, combined with its array of heritage sites and picturesque beaches, make it an attractive destination for travelers.
