
Alappuzha: This Onam, immerse yourself in the serene beauty of Alappuzha’s backwaters with KSRTC’s budget tourism cell, which has organized special trips to the picturesque landscapes of Alappuzha and the Kuttanad countryside. Partnering with the Kerala Water Transport Authority, KSRTC offers an all-inclusive package that covers both boat and bus fares from various parts of the state to Alappuzha.
The package features boat rides on the renowned See Kuttanad and Vega boats. Departing from the jetty near the KSRTC bus stand, these boats navigate through scenic spots including Punnamada, Vembanad Lake, Muhamma, Pathiramanal, Kumarakam, Rani, Chithira, Marthhandam, and more before returning to Alappuzha. Visitors will have the opportunity to disembark for half an hour on Pathiramanal Island, and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Kudumbasree, featuring Alappuzha’s famous pearl spot fry for just Rs 100.

- See Kuttanad: Operating from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with 30 upper deck seats priced at Rs 500 and 60 lower deck seats at Rs 400.
- Vega Boat: Running from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., offering 80 non-AC seats at Rs 400 and 40 AC seats at Rs 600.
