At the 70th National Film Awards, Rishab Shetty won the Best Actor Award for his performance in “Kantara,” while Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh were jointly honored with the Best Actress Award. Although Mammootty was a strong contender, Malayalam cinema still celebrated as Anand Ekarshi’s directorial debut, “Attam,” was awarded Best Feature Film. The awards considered films censored between January 1 and December 31, 2022.
