Tamil cinema superstar Ajith Kumar is back with a bang, as his latest release ‘Good Bad Ugly’ shatters records and emerges as the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2025, according to Sacnilk.com. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film has outperformed expectations and marked a major comeback for Ajith after his previous venture, Vidaamuyarchi, failed to make a mark at the box office, grossing only ₹136 crores worldwide.
In just under five days, Good Bad Ugly surpassed the lifetime collections of Pradeep Ranganathan’s ‘Dragon’ (₹152 crores gross) by pulling in a phenomenal ₹148.5 crores worldwide within its first four weekdays. Out of this, the domestic collection stood at over ₹100 crores, with Tamil Nadu contributing around ₹84 crores—a remarkable feat.
With a strong showing on Monday, aided by a holiday, the film is expected to close its five-day extended weekend at around ₹170 crores globally. Projections indicate that Good Bad Ugly will cross the ₹200-crore milestone by the end of its first week, making it only the second Ajith Kumar film to reach such numbers.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, marking their debut in Tamil cinema, the film stars Ajith alongside Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand, and Raghu Ram. The film’s massive success not only reaffirms Ajith’s stardom but also adds another feather to the cap of Tamil cinema in 2025.
