Shruti Haasan has reportedly stepped away from Adivi Sesh’s much-anticipated film, Dacoit. While initial reports suggested her exit was due to scheduling conflicts with her other project, Coolie, insiders have revealed that the decision was driven by “uncomfortable work conditions” on set.
According to a source, Shruti had participated in the teaser shoot for Dacoit last year, but production delays and multiple reshoots created challenges. It was noted that her co-star was heavily involved in script changes, and at times, the film seemed to have two directors managing the scenes, leading to confusion. Although Shruti was keen to explore a new dimension of her acting under the original director, Shaneil Deo, the on-set dynamics made the experience uncomfortable for her.
On December 17, the makers announced Mrunal Thakur’s addition to the cast, releasing a new poster and teaser featuring her alongside Adivi Sesh. While this news created buzz among fans, it also reignited curiosity about Shruti’s departure, which sources attribute to a mix of creative differences and logistical issues.
Director Shaneil Deo’s Dacoit: A Love Story is a high-energy action drama about estranged lovers who embark on a transformative journey of robberies. Meanwhile, Shruti is busy filming Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Coolie with Rajinikanth. Following this, she will focus on Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam and her upcoming project, Chennai Story.
