Mammootty’s legendary period drama Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha is making a comeback to cinemas with a 4K remastered version, as confirmed by the filmmakers. A teaser for the re-release was unveiled on Monday, October 7, sparking excitement among fans of Malayalam cinema. This announcement comes in the wake of successful 4K re-releases of other cult classics like Mohanlal’s Devadoothan and Manichithrathazhu, which have been met with overwhelming public support.
Previously, Mammootty’s other classic films, Valyettan and Paleri Manikyam: Oru Pathirakolapathakathinte Katha, were also slated for a remastered release. Now, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha, directed by Hariharan, is set to join the roster of iconic films making their way back to theatres, giving audiences a chance to relive the cinematic masterpiece on the big screen.
