Kannan, who’s particularly creative, crafts small toys from old items, sharing them with his best friend Unni. Their brotherly friendship is further strengthened by their mutual love for ‘pallotty,’ a simple, sweet treat that harks back to the sweets enjoyed by children in 90s Malabar. Unlike other children’s films that emphasize fantasy, Pallotty 90’s Kids opts for a grounded portrayal of childhood memories, resonating with all ages.
The film’s strength lies in its innocent humor and the nostalgic songs by Manikandan Ayyappa, which celebrate friendship and the essence of a bygone era.
