Panaji: Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan captivated audiences on the fourth day of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2024 with his engaging session titled From Small Screen to Big Dreams. Sharing the stage with veteran actor Khushbu Sundar, Sivakarthikeyan opened up about his transition from television to cinema, the challenges he faced, and his most cherished roles. The session, part of the In Conversation segment, was a highlight of the day.

The festival continued to showcase an impressive lineup of films. The International Competition section featured the Turkish film Gülizar and the Persian drama Fear and Trembling. Meanwhile, the Indian Panorama delighted cinephiles with diverse entries, including the Ladakhi film Ghar Jaisa Kuch, Abhinav Athrey’s Google Matrimony, Karthik Subbaraj’s Jigarthanda Double X, and the much-anticipated sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD.

On Sunday, Malayalam cinema will take center stage with the screening of Manjummel Boys, directed by Chidambaram and starring Sreenath Bhasi and Soubin Shahir, as part of the Indian Panorama section.

Adding to Kerala’s representation, voice artist P K Jinsil was honored during the Voice Box programme organized by the National Film Development Corporation in collaboration with Netflix.
