Skoda Auto India is set to fully unveil the price range of its compact SUV, the Skoda Kylaq, on December 2, 2024, while simultaneously opening official bookings. This highly anticipated SUV, available in four variants—Classic, Signature, Signature Plus, and Prestige—has an entry-level price of ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can reserve their Kylaq either online or at Skoda dealerships by paying a booking fee of ₹11,000. The online booking process requires basic details such as name, contact information, location, and PAN, along with an OTP verification to finalize the reservation.
The Kylaq boasts a design reminiscent of its Skoda siblings, featuring a signature grille, sleek LED DRLs, split headlights, L-shaped LED taillights, and a bold Skoda logo. Compact yet striking, the SUV measures 3,995 mm in length and 1,975 mm in width, with a ground clearance of 189 mm. Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, it directly rivals models like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.
Packed with features, the Kylaq includes a 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and a Canton sound system. Its safety features comprise six airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a reverse parking camera.
Under the hood, the Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 115 hp and 178 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. With its competitive pricing, rich features, and efficient engine, the Kylaq aims to carve a significant niche in the compact SUV segment.
