
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported a 19% year-on-year sales increase in January 2025, highlighting its strong performance in the Indian automotive market. The company sold 29,371 units last month, compared to 24,609 units in January 2024. This includes 26,178 units in the domestic market and 3,193 units in exports, reflecting Toyota’s continued growth and strategic expansion efforts.
According to Toyota Kirloskar Motor, the steady increase in sales can be attributed to its customer-centric approach, expansion of accessibility across the country, and emphasis on value-added services. The automaker has been focusing on enhancing customer experiences through improved after-sales support and innovative service solutions.
Commenting on the company’s performance, Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President of Sales, Service, Used Car Business & Profit Enhancement, emphasized Toyota’s commitment to further strengthening its presence in India. “In 2025, our goal is to solidify our market foothold by optimizing customer experience through seamless after-sales services and enhanced value propositions,” Wadhwa stated.
Toyota’s product strategy continues to be driven by a multiple pathway approach, ensuring that customers have access to a diverse range of mobility solutions tailored to their needs. The company also plans to enhance efficiency across operations and processes, allowing for improved scalability and seamless market integration.
