Alappuzha Vlogger Turns Bald Head into Billboard, Earns Rs 50,000 per Ad

Shafeek Hashim’s Unique Advertising Idea Goes Viral, Inspires Many to Embrace Baldness

Alappuzha: In an unconventional approach to advertising, travel vlogger Shafeek Hashim from Alappuzha has transformed his bald head into a unique marketing platform, earning an impressive Rs 50,000 for a single advertisement. According to Shafeek, baldness is no longer something to be ashamed of but rather an opportunity for creativity and financial gain.

The 36-year-old, who hails from Karoor in Ambalapuzha, first experimented with this idea by inviting brands to advertise on his bald head through a Facebook post. The concept quickly gained traction, going viral on social media and attracting interest from numerous companies eager to use his head as an advertising medium. Shafeek’s existing popularity as a travel vlogger further contributed to the overwhelming response from brands. He proudly claims to be the first person in India to commercialize his baldness in this way.

Recently, in a video posted on his YouTube channel, Shafeek showcased an advertisement for a Kochi-based hair transplantation clinic. The ad was applied using a temporary tattoo sticker featuring the clinic’s name and details. As part of his agreement with the company, he is required to keep the tattoo visible in all his vlogs for three months.

Reflecting on this unusual journey, Shafeek revealed that he once considered undergoing a hair transplant due to years of insecurity and teasing from friends about his baldness. However, rather than changing his appearance, he decided to embrace it and turn what was once a source of self-doubt into an innovative business opportunity.

His bold move has resonated with many people facing similar struggles, encouraging them to accept and celebrate their natural look instead of being self-conscious. By monetizing his baldness, Shafeek has not only created an innovative marketing trend but also inspired countless others to rethink their perspectives on personal appearance and confidence.
