IndiGo Expands Thailand Network with New Mumbai-Krabi Route

IndiGo Expands Thailand Network

IndiGo has announced the addition of Krabi as its third destination in Thailand, further expanding its international network. The new Mumbai-Krabi route will commence operations on March 23, 2025, with six weekly flights, increasing to daily flights from March 30, 2025. This move strengthens IndiGo’s presence in Thailand, which already includes flights to Bangkok and Phuket.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, highlighting Krabi’s appeal as a tourist destination known for its stunning beaches, limestone cliffs, and coral reefs. He emphasized that the increased connectivity—over 90 weekly flights between India and Thailand—will not only boost tourism but also enhance trade opportunities, fostering stronger ties between the two nations.

Krabi, a picturesque province on Thailand’s southern coast, is a favorite among travelers for its natural beauty and vibrant marine life. The new route aligns with IndiGo’s strategy to expand its domestic and international network, following recent additions like Ahmedabad-Kishangarh and Kochi-Ras Al Khaimah routes.

This expansion comes amid a steady rise in India’s domestic air traffic, which saw an 11.28% increase in January 2025 compared to the previous year. IndiGo’s continued growth reflects its commitment to providing affordable and convenient travel options, catering to both leisure and business travelers.
