Flights to, from UAE cancelled after Iranian strikes on Qatar, Iraq

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned and denounced in the strongest terms "the aggression" launched by Iran against Qatar

Several flights to and from the UAE have been cancelled as Iran launched a missile strike on US bases in Qatar and Iraq. An Abu Dhabi resident, Z.K., said that she was waiting to check in to fly to India when the airport was temporarily closed. “The authorities said that the airport is temporarily closed, and they will update if there’s any further news,” she said. “We haven’t been able to check in and are waiting for further updates.”

Meanwhile, the UAE carrier flydubai on Monday said it is “closely monitoring the developing situation” in the region after Iran launched an attack at the US military bases in Qatar. Earlier, the Qatar government closed its airspace due to the attack. The Gulf country said it has the right to respond to the Iranian attack.
All the local carriers operate flights to Qatar.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has condemned and denounced in the strongest terms “the aggression” launched by Iran against Qatar. The kingdom said the attack constitutes “a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighbourliness”. “It is unacceptable and cannot be justified under any circumstances,” it added. Kuwait has decided to close its airspace temporarily amid regional tensions and as a precautionary measure.

Bahrain has decided to suspend its air traffic temporarily. Bahrain said that sirens have sounded in the country and urged citizens and residents to remain calm and head to the nearest safe place. The US State Department issued a “worldwide caution” for Americans, saying the conflict in the Middle East could put those travelling or living abroad at an increased security risk.
