Padma Lakshmi marks history by became the Kerala’s first transgender lawyer as she enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of the state the other day. Padma Lakshmi is a graduate from Government Law College, Ernakulam.
She was one among 1,528 law graduates who were awarded the Bar enrolment certificate here on Sunday. Furthermore, the Kerala Industries Minister P Rajeev expressed hope that Padma’s achievement shall inspire more transgenders to take up the profession of law and wished her a successful career.
