The Central Meteorological Department has issued a warning of isolated heavy rain in Kerala today, particularly in the northern regions. A yellow alert has been announced for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts.
Tomorrow, nine districts are also expected to experience heavy rain, with potential strong winds and thunderstorms in hilly areas. The disaster management authority has advised the public to remain cautious.
While there is no hindrance to fishing along the Kerala-Karnataka-Lakshadweep coasts, fishermen and coastal residents should be vigilant due to the possibility of high waves and storm surges along the Kerala-Tamil Nadu coasts.
