There is a chance of isolated heavy rain in Kerala today, with the Central Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod districts. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Research Center has advised fishermen and coastal residents to stay alert due to the possibility of the black sea phenomenon and high waves along the Kerala and Tamil Nadu coasts until 11:30 PM tonight.
Additionally, fishing is prohibited along the Kerala, Karnataka, and Lakshadweep coasts due to anticipated strong winds reaching up to 55 kmph and adverse weather conditions.
