
The much-anticipated pilgrimage season marking the beginning of the 92nd Sivagiri Pilgrimage starts today at Sivagiri. The inaugural ceremony of the pilgrimage season will take place at 10 a.m., led by Minister Kadannappalli Ramachandran. The main event will follow on December 30, with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar officially inaugurating the pilgrimage.
Swami Satchidananda, President of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham Trust, will preside over today’s ceremony, and the Bhadradeepam, symbolizing auspicious beginnings, will be lit by Swami Parananda. Swami Subhangananda, the General Secretary of the Trust, will deliver the benediction address.
The event will feature keynote speeches by Treasurer Swami Saradananda and Board Member Swami Sukhamananda, while Joint Secretary of the Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha, Swami Vireshwarananda, will honor participants of the World Parliament of Religions held at the Vatican. Additional addresses will be delivered by Swami Dharmananda and municipal councillors Rakhi and S. Satheesan.
The welcome address will be presented by Swami Asanganandagiri, Secretary of the Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha, and the vote of thanks by Sivagiri Pilgrimage Committee Joint Secretary Swami Virjanandagiri. This annual pilgrimage, deeply rooted in the teachings of Sree Narayana Guru, continues to inspire devotees with its focus on spiritual enlightenment and social harmony.
