Kerala’s Thiruvonam Bumper Lottery has recorded an impressive Rs 350 crore in ticket sales, with the highly anticipated draw scheduled for October 9 at Gorkhi Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. According to a press release from the Directorate of State Lotteries, out of the 80 lakh tickets available, a total of 69,70,438 tickets had been sold by 4 pm on Monday. Each ticket for the Thiruvonam Bumper is priced at Rs 500.
The lottery boasts a grand first prize of Rs 25 crore, making it one of the most lucrative lotteries in Kerala. Additionally, there are 20 second prizes worth Rs 2 crore each, and a third prize of Rs 50 lakh.
Among the districts, Palakkad leads with the highest number of tickets sold, totaling 12,78,720, followed by Thiruvananthapuram at 9,21,350 tickets and Thrissur with 8,44,390 tickets.
The official draw will be conducted at 1:30 pm on October 9 by Finance Minister K N Balagopal, in the presence of V K Prasanth, MLA, and Abraham Renn, Director of the Lotteries Department. With just a day left, excitement is building among hopeful ticket holders, eagerly awaiting the results of the draw.
