Young football talent Rahul KP expressed his excitement and determination after completing a permanent transfer from Kerala Blasters to Odisha FC. The Blasters management officially announced the transfer on Monday via social media, bidding farewell to the player who has been with them since 2019.
“I’m thrilled to take on this new challenge with Odisha FC. It’s the only club that showed interest in me, and I’m happy to join. The decision by the coach further motivates me to give my best,” said Rahul after signing the contract.
Rahul made 81 appearances for Kerala Blasters, scoring eight goals, including one this season in a match against Chennaiyin FC. His last outing for the Blasters was in a game against Jamshedpur. As Odisha FC prepares for its match against the Blasters in Kochi on January 13, the Kerala side expressed gratitude to Rahul for his contributions over the years.
Odisha FC’s head coach Sergio Lobera shared his enthusiasm about the new addition, stating, “Rahul is a versatile player who aligns well with our style of play. His skills will undoubtedly strengthen our squad, and I’m delighted to have him on board.”
