The much-loved title track “Katha Thudarum” from the Mohanlal-starrer Thudaram has been officially released as a video song. This emotionally resonant piece, which left a strong impression on theatergoers, has been sung by Gokul Gopakumar with music composed by Jakes Bejoy. The lyrics were penned by B K Harinarayanan. The song video is now available on the Sony Music South YouTube channel.
Thudaram, directed by Tarun Moorthy and featuring Mohanlal in the lead, continues its successful run in theaters. The film has now surpassed ₹200 crore at the global box office, making it the second Mohanlal movie in two months to join the ₹200 crore club, following Empuraan released in March. Notably, Thudaram is the first Malayalam film to earn over ₹100 crore from the Kerala box office alone.
The cast includes Prakash Varma, Binu Pappu, Farhaan Faasil, Maniyanpilla Raju, Thomas Mathew, and Irshad, among others. Several newcomers also play key roles. The film’s cinematography is handled by Shaji Kumar, with editing by Nishad Yusuf and Shefeek V B. Art direction is by Gokul Das, sound design by Vishnu Govind, and the executive producer is Avantika Ranjith.
