Indian cricket icon Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, are set to relocate to London with their children, confirmed Kohli’s childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma. Speaking in an interview with Dainik Jagran, Rajkumar revealed that the couple’s move to the UK has been finalized, citing their growing ties to the city.
Kohli and Anushka, who married in a private ceremony in Italy in 2017, already have a strong connection to London. Their second child, Akaay, born in February 2024, was delivered in the city. Reports suggest the family has acquired property there, making London a natural choice for their next home.
Rajkumar Sharma dismissed concerns about Kohli’s form and performance, emphasizing that the cricketer is in peak condition ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Highlighting Kohli’s recent century in the first Test against Australia, he expressed confidence that Kohli could score two more in the series.
“Kohli is currently playing some of the finest cricket of his career. His form and mental resilience ensure he thrives under challenging conditions,” said Rajkumar.
He also addressed retirement rumors, asserting that Kohli’s fitness and passion for cricket remain intact. Predicting a career spanning another five years, Rajkumar confidently stated that Kohli would play in the 2027 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, representing India at the highest level.
Fans, however, have expressed mixed reactions online. While some celebrate his continued brilliance, others have questioned his decision to leave India. Despite the speculation, Rajkumar reiterated his belief in Kohli’s enduring contribution to Indian cricket.
