Modi remarked that, over the past decade, 250 million people have been lifted out of poverty, crediting this achievement to the government’s shift in approach. He emphasized India’s rising middle class as a key driver of development and praised the country’s rapid digital progress. The Prime Minister proudly stated that while Indian-Americans may have wallets in their pockets, people in India are embracing digital wallets, a reflection of the nation’s tech-savvy growth.
India’s ambitious goals extend to its global influence, not in pursuit of dominance but to contribute to global peace and prosperity. Modi highlighted that India is committed to a human-centric growth model, promoting peace and progress worldwide. He also reaffirmed India’s role in the global environmental landscape, noting its minimal contribution to global emissions despite representing 17% of the world’s population.
In a major announcement, Modi revealed plans to open two new Indian consulates in Boston and Los Angeles, meeting the long-standing demands of the Indian-American community in these key cities.
