Kamala Harris’ Leadership Will Ensure Continued Progress, Says Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval

Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval expressed strong support for Vice President Kamala Harris, stating that her leadership would ensure continued progress for the country if she were to be elected president. Speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, Pureval, who is of Tibetan and Indian descent, emphasized the importance of keeping promises, a value he learned from his parents, who instilled in him the belief in the American dream.

Pureval, the first Asian-American mayor of Cincinnati, highlighted the significant infrastructure achievements made under the Biden-Harris administration, specifically citing the long-awaited repairs to the Brent Spence Bridge, which connects Ohio to Kentucky. He noted that despite years of unfulfilled promises from previous politicians, including former President Donald Trump, it was the Biden-Harris administration that finally delivered on its commitment to fix the bridge.

He praised the bipartisan infrastructure law signed by President Biden, which he said marked the largest infrastructure investment in Cincinnati’s history and would have a lasting impact on the community. Pureval contrasted this tangible progress with the “hollow promises” of the past, applauding Harris and Biden for their genuine public service and dedication to improving the lives of Americans.
