Trump’s Bold Day-One Agenda: Immigration, Energy, and Social Reforms in Focus

From Border Raids to Transgender Policies: Key Executive Orders Unveiled

Former President Donald Trump, campaigning for his return to the White House, has unveiled an ambitious agenda for his first day back in office. Trump, who joked about being a “dictator for a day,” plans to sign numerous executive orders targeting critical issues such as immigration, energy independence, and education.

Among his priorities, Trump aims to crack down on illegal immigration by authorizing nationwide raids targeting criminal undocumented immigrants. Border Czar Tom Homan emphasized that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) would be tasked with enforcing immigration laws more aggressively. Trump has also pledged to decisively close the border to asylum seekers, requiring them to apply from outside the U.S., and end birthright citizenship, though the latter would necessitate a constitutional amendment.

In the energy sector, Trump plans to reverse Biden administration policies, expedite permits for oil and gas drilling, and expand fracking to reduce energy costs and bolster domestic production. He has also vowed to undo regulations promoting electric vehicles, citing skepticism about climate change initiatives.

On the social front, Trump intends to revoke federal funding for schools with curriculums he deems inappropriate, particularly those addressing transgender issues, race, and politics. He has promised to scrap policies that allow transgender students to access bathrooms aligning with their gender identity.

Internationally, Trump has demanded a ceasefire and hostage release in Gaza, threatening severe repercussions if unheeded. He also reiterated his claim that the Ukraine war could end within 24 hours of his leadership, though no concrete actions are planned immediately.

Economically, Trump has highlighted tariffs as a tool to boost domestic manufacturing and create jobs. He plans to impose a 25% tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico to pressure them into strengthening border controls. Reviving the “Make in America” initiative, he aims to prioritize sectors like the auto industry.

With promises spanning immigration, energy, and education, Trump’s day-one blueprint reflects his focus on reshaping policies to align with his core voter base’s priorities.
