New Delhi: Apple, the global leader in technology innovation, has officially launched its Apple Store app in India, providing a convenient and personalized shopping experience for its customers. Now available on the App Store, this app enables users across the country to explore and purchase Apple’s extensive range of products and services from the comfort of their devices.
The app’s launch aligns with Apple’s expanding footprint in India. Following the opening of its first two physical retail stores in Mumbai and Delhi in April 2023, the company has announced plans to establish more outlets in Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.
“At Apple, our focus is always on our customers. The launch of the Apple Store app allows us to connect with even more users in India while enhancing their shopping experience,” stated Karen Rasmussen, Apple’s head of Retail Online.
Enhanced Shopping with Personalization
The app delivers a streamlined shopping experience, providing a one-stop destination for discovering Apple’s latest products, accessories, and services. Features like Apple Trade-In and financing options are also highlighted.
Through the ‘For You’ tab, users receive curated recommendations, updates, and access to their favorited items. Additionally, the ‘Go Further’ tab connects customers with Apple Specialists for personalized setup and support services.
Unique Customization Options
The Apple Store app offers the option to customize products such as Macs, allowing upgrades to chips, memory, or storage. Customers can also engrave items like AirPods, iPads, Apple Pencils, and AirTags with names, initials, emojis, or numbers in eight languages at no additional cost. Soon, digital gift messaging will be introduced for added personalization.
Apple’s Expanding Influence in India
The app’s debut coincides with Apple’s rapid growth in the Indian market. According to Counterpoint Research, Apple ranked among the top five smartphone brands in India in Q4 2024, achieving nearly 10 percent of the market share by volume. Additionally, domestic production of iPhones increased by 46 percent in FY24, with exports exceeding $10 billion of the $14 billion produced.
“With this app, our customers in India can enjoy a seamless and personalized way to shop, access support, and discover all that Apple has to offer,” Rasmussen added.
