
Vivo is gearing up to introduce its latest offerings, the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro, in the Indian market soon. These smartphones are anticipated as successors to the Vivo V30 series, with upgrades in camera technology and performance. Initially unveiled in select global markets, the Vivo V40 series is set to make its debut in India with enhanced features tailored for local consumers.
According to reports from industry sources cited by MySmartPrice, the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro are expected to hit Indian shores by August this year. Notably, both variants will feature Zeiss Optics cameras, promising advanced imaging capabilities. The collaboration with Zeiss suggests a focus on delivering high-quality photography experiences, including support for multifocal portraits.
The Vivo V40 specifications highlight a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. Powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset paired with an Adreno 720 GPU, the phones offer up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 storage. They run on FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14.
Camera enthusiasts will appreciate the Vivo V40’s dual rear camera setup featuring Zeiss optics. This includes a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an additional 50-megapixel camera coupled with an ultra-wide-angle lens. The device also boasts a front-facing 50-megapixel camera for high-resolution selfies.
In terms of battery and connectivity, the Vivo V40 is equipped with a robust 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired FlashCharge technology. It includes essential features like dual-SIM support, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C. Moreover, the phone comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability.
