Tennis icon diagnosed with throat and breast cancer

Tennis icon Martina Navratilova has been diagnosed with throat and breast cancer. The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion is set to begin treatment later in January in New York with the legendary player stressing that she is ready to fight the disease with all that she has got.

Martina Navratilova was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010 after which she underwent surgery and radiation therapy. Navratilova, who won Wimbledon 9 times, 3 Australian Open crowns, 2 French Open titles, and 4 US Open titles and is considered one of the greatest to have played the sport.
