Elizabeth Antony, the wife of veteran Congress leader A K Antony, has candidly discussed the family turmoil that arose when their son, Anil K Antony, joined the BJP. Elizabeth shared on the ‘Kreupasanam’ YouTube channel that Antony was taken aback upon learning of Anil’s decision to join the BJP, and it took him quite some time to come to terms with it.

She expressed initial concerns about a potential heated dispute when Anil returned home after affiliating with the BJP. However, the transition proceeded without major conflict. Anil had a longstanding aspiration to enter the realm of politics, but his father hadn’t actively facilitated this path. Anil pursued a political career after leaving other occupations, and Elizabeth had been fervently praying about his future and political aspirations.
