Survey Predicts BJP’s Dominance in UP, Projecting 70 Seats in Upcoming Lok Sabha Elections

The recent survey results from India Today’s Mood of the Nation have stirred anticipation, suggesting a significant surge for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. The survey forecasts a substantial increase in BJP seats, projecting a win of 70 out of 80 seats in the state. According to the survey, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with the support of Apna Dal (S) led by Anupriya Patel, is expected to secure 52 percent of the total votes and win a total of 72 seats. This forecast marks a notable rise from the 2019 elections, where the BJP clinched 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh.

As per the survey predictions, other major political players may witness contrasting outcomes. The Samajwadi Party, led by Akhilesh Yadav, is anticipated to secure seven seats, a notable decline from the 15 seats it won in the 2019 elections. Congress, on the other hand, is expected to secure just one seat. Additionally, the survey projects a challenging scenario for Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party, suggesting the possibility of securing zero seats. The survey outcomes hint at a significant political landscape shift in Uttar Pradesh, setting the stage for a closely watched electoral battle in the region.
