Garlic pickle recipe

Pickles are everyone’s favourite. It can be eaten along with rice chappati, roti, Dosa etc. Here we have recipe of garlic pickle.


1/2 cup garlic buds peeled

3 tablespoons mustard oil,

1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder,

2 teaspoons lemon juice,

1 teaspoon chilli powder,

1 teaspoon jaggery at will,

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons mustard seeds,

1/4 teaspoon fenugreek,

1/4 cumin,

1/4 teaspoon whole coriander,

1/4 teaspoon asafoetida

Mix mustard seeds, fenugreek, coriander, cumin and asafoetida in a vessel, and fry them until it turns little brown  Then grind them in the mixer without using any water. Now heat the non-stick pan. use mustard oil to make pickle as it enhances the flavour along with the fragrance. When oil becomes hot, add garlic to it. After this, add turmeric and fry it on low flame while stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes. When aroma of the rawness of garlic is gone, add powdered spice. Add salt. Garlic pickle is ready, which you can enjoy in the airtight box for many days.
