In Kerala, an auto driver was beaten to death, and six people were detained, including a cop.

On June 6, Kochi city police arrested six guys in the Ernakulam district on suspicion of murdering a 32-year-old auto rickshaw driver. Krishna Kumar alias Kannan, a resident of Kunnumpuram in Edapally, was discovered dead in the early hours of Monday (June 5) night. Krishna Kumar, according to authorities, was hacked to death over a financial transaction fight. One of the apprehended suspects is a police officer from the Armed Reserve camp in Ernakulam.

Around Tuesday midnight, one of the accused, Faisal Mon, 39, of Maradu, allegedly summoned the deceased Krishna Kumar to an empty land near a canal in Peeliyodu, Edapally. According to authorities, as Krishna Kumar arrived at the scene, other suspects, including Faisal, allegedly hacked him with iron rods. According to accounts, the attack was reported to police when some neighbors heard the disturbance and alerted authorities.

Bijoy, a 35-year-old Edapally North resident, and AR Camp officer; Ubaid, a 25-year-old Aluva native; Ansal, a 26-year-old Aluva native; Faisal, a 26-year-old Edapally North resident; and Subeesh, a 38-year-old Edapally resident.

Aishwarya Dongre, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kochi, who visited the scene of the attack, stated that three individuals witnessed the crime and that the arrest was based on their testimony. Police have also recovered iron rods from the scene of the incident. According to the investigative officials, Krishna Kumar borrowed Rs 50,000 from someone via Faisal, and the attack was perhaps related to this.

“When the body was discovered, cops took him to the hospital. There are marks on his body that are thought to be from being beaten with iron rods. The arrest was based on the testimony of three witnesses in the case. Aishwarya Dongre stated that the death was motivated by a money transaction between them.
