Revelations on Kalabhavan Mani’s Death: Investigative Officer Unveils Truth

Kalabhavan Mani’s death in March 2016 has long been shrouded in mystery, with allegations of foul play and the involvement of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the case. P. N Unnirajan IPS, a former member of the investigative team, has recently shed light on the truth behind the actor’s untimely demise. Mani was found unconscious in an outhouse near his residence, and the post-mortem report revealed traces of poison in his body.

According to Unnirajan IPS, the investigation focused on understanding how the poison, specifically methyl alcohol, entered Mani’s system. The officer revealed that Mani, a chronic diabetic, used to consume large quantities of beer regularly, around twelve to thirteen bottles every day. The actor’s health had been deteriorating due to liver cirrhosis, and despite vomiting blood, he continued his beer consumption.

The investigation found a small amount of methyl alcohol in the beer bottles Mani had consumed. The medical board in Thiruvananthapuram discussed the details, concluding that Mani’s death was primarily a result of liver cirrhosis. The officer highlighted the dangerous combination of Mani’s prescribed medication and alcohol, emphasizing that the chemical reaction between them adversely affected his health.

Furthermore, Mani’s habit of consuming raw vegetables raised suspicions of pesticide contamination in his system. The investigation considered various possibilities, including the presence of pesticides in the vegetables he consumed. Unnirajan IPS clarified that there was no evidence of Mani consuming meat or arrack on the day of the incident.

Intriguingly, the officer shared that the beer itself contained a small amount of methyl alcohol, contributing to the overall content in Mani’s body. The revelations provide a clearer understanding of the circumstances leading to the actor’s tragic demise, dispelling some of the longstanding mysteries surrounding Kalabhavan Mani’s death.
